Laura had a passion for ponies and rode horses since being a child, this continued leading to studying a degree in Equine Breeding and Stud Management at University. Working within the commercial and private equine industry for over 15 years in both UK and Europe, offered a wide-ranging view of horse management and welfare ideas.

Laura, founder of Heartfield EFL

Through studying other avenues of horsemanship and interactions between people and horses, a new passion was ignited to work with horses in this way through the field of Equine Facilitated Learning. After settling in Kent, UK Laura began her studies and building up a relationship with the herd of horses at Kent Equine Facilitated Learning.

The benefits of working at The Little Horse Yard not only include working with the established herd, but access to workshops run by guest facilitators throughout the year, such as reiki and EFL sessions, Relationship and Connection Workshops and annual Wellbeing days with a cohort of practitioners offering holistic services.
